I love my line of work. Where else can a person make a career by indulging in the creative arts to solve puzzles? I have been doing what I love for the past seven years and the time has flown by. I consider myself fortunate to have experienced working at larger more established companies such as Microsoft, The Port of Seattle, and The Seattle Times to smaller local boutique design firms and start up companies. I value every one of these opportunities as they allowed me to explore new areas of my trade.
I am an avid music fan and in my personal pursuits, I find great fulfillment working on design projects for musicians such as The White Stripes, Steel Tigers of Death, BM LINX and many other bands. I have done creative work supporting independent local sporting clubs such as The Seattle Gaels: Gaelic Hurling and Football Club, Rat City Roller Girls, and Dockyard Derby Dames.
In addition to my work at the Seattle Times I was Art Director for the Seattle Gaels Hurling and Gaelic Football. I over saw building brand guidelines and varrious projects. I also started a company, Rangotang - with another designer, specializing in silkscreened music posters for local and national acts.
The fine arts are another passion of mine and recently I have begun to show my work publicly. I am always drawing, painting, silk screening, researching art concepts, and challenging myself in this area. I blog about process and include more indepth about my projects both finished and upcoming side projects here: Blogfolio
From building web pages, designing interactive ads, video editing, designing music CD art and posters, branding, I truly enjoy it all.
